Elk Population

The herds of these animals consist of females and their offspring. There are usually about 20-30 individuals in one herd. Adult males live along or in small male groups. These mammals spend much of their day seeking, eating and digesting food. The elk population may be diminishing in some areas; you can find a baby at specially licensed farms.
