Red Elk
A red elk is a sight to see; a farm may have one to view; it's rare, and your best bet is a great photo.
These animals can run long distances at 28-29 mph. There can be up to 14 feet between one track and the next of the same foot by a speeding elk. They can jump 7-10 feet high, but no higher than necessary. These animals are also good swimmers.

The animals feed on dried grass, pawed from beneath the snow, browse on trees and berry bushes, and eat bark from trees and large shrubs. Wolves and cougars are among the natural enemies of the animal, as well as bear and coyotes that look for calves and sick animals.
