Irish Elk

The irish elk is an enormous, extinct creature; thus, you cannot see it's baby any longer; some farms may have other varieties of elk, however. The calves are born with spotted coats which camouflage them from predators. They use such defense strategy as lying still on the ground until danger passes. As a rule, the young are very difficult to locate as they hide in the grasses or shrubs. The babies are able to stand and walk in several minutes after birth.
