Roosevelt species has thick antlers with vertical points and a distinctive crown or three-point tip. Their antlers’ average length is about four feet. The antlers can grow up to 6 feet and weigh about 40 pounds.

Bulls of these animals have large antlers with many tines, including two facing forward, over the eyes. The main use of antlers is in sparring to set up dominance hierarchies and in fights with other bulls during the rut season.
